About Me

I'm a farmers wife and mother of 2 living with my husband on his family farm on Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. The kids are 8 and 5 and keep me fairly busy. I love living where we do and find the rural lifestyle priceless for bringing up children. There is a bit of travel involved with our home being about 50km from a shop, about 20km from the primary school and 7km from the primary school bus stop. As a family, we enjoy fishing, camping, social activities and family occasions.
Our farm is approximately 6000 acres, which is fairly small in the broad acre world. We crop about 4000 acres each year of Barley and Canola and run about 1500 Merinos.
I've recently completed a Diploma in Work, Health & Safety and have started my own business assisting farmers with their safety compliance. I had previous experience in WH&S when I worked in the fishing industry and after living the farm life for 10 or so years, have turned my hand to farm safety. I don't promote WH&S but I assist those who have accepted the inevitable with this unstoppable machine that is WH&S.
I also fit in loads of volunteer work as a Treasurer, Grant Writer and more! So, I'm actually a pretty busy person!
